Ricky, a San Diego native, retired as a Special Forces Chief Warrant Officer 3 after a distinguished military career, serving with the 101st Airborne, 2nd Infantry Division, 1st Infantry Division, 1st Special Forces Group, and Joint Interagency Task Force West. However, his journey took an unexpected turn when he recently confronted the devastating challenge of a throat cancer diagnosis. In the face of this profound adversity, Ricky has exhibited remarkable resilience, embodying the strength forged through a lifetime of military service.

In civilian life, Ricky not only survives but thrives as a Commercial Construction Project Manager. He is also a co-founder of TASK FORCE HYDRO 1 a veteran-centric 501(c)(3) organization, where his dedication to supporting fellow veterans takes on a deeply personal dimension. Through this nonprofit work, he blends his love for surfing and outrigger paddling, creating a meaningful impact beyond the uniform. A percentage (20%) of each hat sold will go to help support TFH1.

Residing in St. Augustine, FL, with his wife Marcella and granddaughter Rhyann, Ricky’s journey is characterized not only by leadership and dedication but also by an inspiring determination to make a positive difference in the lives of others, even in the face of life’s most formidable challenges.
